ACCA Strategic Professional Level

• Students are required to complete 120 credits, and granted 60 credits (one Trimester) of exemption, of the following postgraduate degrees:
• MSc Accounting and Finance
• MSc Financial Management

Note: The modules “International Corporate Reporting and Governance” and Sustainability and Strategic Management Accounting” are exempted.

Entry intake: January

• Students are required to complete 150 credits, and granted 30 credits of exemption, of the following postgraduate degree:
• MSc Forensic Accounting

Entry intake: September

Note: The module “International Corporate Reporting and Governance” is exempted

• Entry qualification for: Global MBA

Entry intake: September and January

Full ACCA Qualification (completed Strategic Professional Level, Ethics and Professional Skills Module and 3 years of practical experience)

• Entry qualification for: Executive MBA
• Applicants will be invited to attend an interview as part of the application process. The decision for a place on the Executive MBA will depend on the applicant’s work experience profile and the outcome of the interview.
• Applications which do not meet the entry requirements of Executive MBA will be transferred to Global MBA.

Entry intake: September (the course will start from September 2026)

English language requirements: The standard English language requirement is IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any one language skill OR equivalent. Those students who have achieved less than the required minimum may be eligible for pre-sessional English programmes.

The parties agree that applicants fulfilling the criteria set out in this letter may progress onto the specified level of the DMU programmes, leading to awards of DMU bachelor degrees in the corresponding academic areas.

Entry Requirements:

• Successful completion of one of the above programmes with the listed prerequisites met.
• Academic IELTS: The language of delivery at DMU is English. The standard English language requirement is IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any one language skill or equivalent. Those students who have achieved less than the required minimum may be eligible for presessional English programmes.
• All students will be required to apply to the University by normal admissions procedures, providing a transcript of their studies where necessary. Students should submit a formal application to De Montfort University, including all satisfactory supporting documents as required, and meet standard De Montfort University admissions requirements.

Any offer that is made to students by De Montfort University will contain certain non-academic conditions as well as the above academic conditions, which students will need to fulfil and which are based on current De Montfort University admissions policy and UK Home Office regulations. Please note, the relevant admissions policy and UK Home Office regulations are subject to change.
