Ushira Welikala

Ushira Dulaj Welikala is an accomplished Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, specializing in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate education in financial reporting, performance management, and related disciplines. With over five years of academic lecturing experience and more than six years of corporate exposure in auditing, fund administration, and financial operations, Ushira brings a well-rounded blend of theoretical insight and practical expertise to his teaching practice.

Currently serving as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance and a Visiting Lecturer for ACCA (Financial Reporting and Performance Management) at Wisdom Business Academy, he is dedicated to developing the next generation of finance professionals through engaging, industry-relevant instruction.

Ushira holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Business and Finance from the University of the West of Scotland, UK. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (CPM), Sri Lanka, and a CIMA Passed Finalist.

His professional journey includes key roles such as Auditor, Fund Administrator, and Senior Finance Associate, where he gained in-depth knowledge in financial analysis, reporting, and process optimization. In addition to his academic and corporate work, Ushira also provides private tutoring for local and international examinations (O/L, A/L, and professional programs), fostering strong analytical and problem-solving skills among his students.
