Mahesh is a Fellow member of ACCA, Associate member of CIMA, Member of CPA Australia and the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) UK.
Mahesh counts over 13 years of experience in Finance. He currently holds the position of Head of Group Corporate Finance at CBL Group. Mahesh held the position of General Manager Finance and Group Finance Controller at Hela Apparel Holdings leading the group finance, group treasury, strategy, and corporate finance functions. Mahesh was also previously employed as the Manager Strategy in the Corporate Finance Division of MAS Holdings leading the management reporting and strategy functions for the group.
Among his awards, he obtained the most popular awards in both ACCA and CIMA. The “top affiliate award” from ACCA in 2014, the “best performance award” and 9th in the World at the strategic level of CIMA in 2010.
In May 2010, Mahesh was the only Sri Lankan to be listed in CIMA’s top 10 highest performing students worldwide and has the distinction of being one of the youngest appointed members for CIMA at the age of 21. He was also top in Sri Lankan for Cambridge A/L Accounting in 2008.
ACCA Sri Lanka appointed him as a brand ambassador in 2016 and was awarded as an ACCA advocate in 2021.
He is currently a lecturer at Wisdom Business Academy and has over 13 years of experience in lecturing for ACCA and CIMA.
