Coming from a strong enterprise management background, developed in world class organizations, Lasantha is passionate about developing best-in-class business operations that outperform competition. With a strong background in Lean management, supported by over one hundred projects, augmented by a solid background in finance and management information systems, Lasantha has delivered outstanding business results varying from complete business turnaround to double-digit growth. He has successfully carried out business transformation projects in Sri Lanka, Brazil, China and Czech Republic. This multicultural exposure enables Lasantha to be culturally sensitive and master the insights required to motivate and guide different teams towards success.

Lasantha’s unique background as an Attorney ensures early detection and prevention of any governance or compliance issues which is yet another factor which ensures the success of his transformation projects. In this context, he is well experienced in working with and winning the support of multiple stakeholders such as trade unions, regulators, pressure groups and the local community.

A firm believer in the power of high performing teams, Lasantha focuses heavily on training & capacity building, empowering and coaching of team members. This ensures that a competent second level is gradually built in order to drive the transformed enterprise, once Lasantha moves out. Apart from this, Lasantha has personally coached and developed over a dozen mid level executives who have arisen to senior corporate roles today.

Lasantha adopts a 360 degree approach in enterprise transformation, systematically developing people, processes and systems. Apart from physical systems, through his vast experience in information systems, Lasantha also ensures that information systems are geared to take the operation efficiently into the future. These vary from basic shop floor automation to enterprise level system integration of internal and external processes.

In his career, Lasantha has held several notable functional and corporate positions in local as well as foreign multinational organizations. These include positions of direct P&L responsibility as Chief Executive Officer. This background ensures that the impact of transformational activities driven by him is clearly seen on the P&L.

In his spare time, Lasantha contributes back to the society by way of volunteer work through Rotary International as well as other pro-bono activities such as career coaching for young professionals and various activities through the professional bodies of which he is a member. In recognition of his capabilities he was appointed as a consultant to the Public Enterprises Reform Commission (PERC) as well as an expert panel member on pricing, Consumer Affairs Authority.
